Junior Full-stack Developer Suffolk

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Junior ‘Full-stack’ Developer. As a Junior Developer, you’ll be a valued and important member of the Client Projects team, regularly contributing to the teams' excellent results. You’ll help to keep our client's websites healthy by carrying out important updates and maintenance on their servers and CMS platforms. Working closely with new and existing projects, you’ll quickly become familiar with our infrastructure and drive for ruthless simplicity, helping you to carve your career path and thrive in the role.

We’ll provide you with excellent support from the team, in return for your hunger to learn and drive to excel. You’ll be able to take constructive feedback from our talented and passionate developers helping you to rapidly build on your coding skills and tech knowledge.

Your typical day might include:

* Weekly ‘stand-up’ with the team to sum up the week ahead

* Helping to offer professional and timely responses to our customer help desk

* Checking and applying critical updates to our servers

* Keeping our clients CMS platforms up-to-date and testing these before release

* Testing new builds and releases, helping us to ensure we hand over the best quality work to our clients.

* Familiarising with the implementation, structure and consistency of our web builds

* Supporting our developers and tech lead

* Carrying out ‘coding’ tasks that will help to improve your development skills. Just a few examples might include: - Amending existing projects i.e. adding new features and functionality. - Diagnosing issues and fixing these if they arise. - Writing email templates.

Junior Full-Stack Developer

Full-stack Developer Suffolk

We’re seeking a Full-stack Developer to work as part of our Client Projects team. They will help us build and maintain a growing portfolio of client websites by writing consistent, clean code and working in line with established best practices.

Our ideal candidate will be developer with some back-end experience. They’ll be looking to learn new skills, gain exposure to new practices and will be excited to work with some well-known brands.

They will be prepared to take responsibility for upholding the highest possible coding standards. They should have a basic understanding of PHP, ideally with a working knowledge of templating languages such as Twig or Laravel Blade. Experience working with MVC frameworks (Yii, Laravel, Symphony etc.) is desirable and knowledge of Craft CMS would be a bonus.

We want candidates who take pride in maintaining fast, stable and secure sites and apps, with a serious level of attention to detail. Ideally with 2+ years development experience.

The Full-stack Developer will work under the guidance of the Technical Lead to maintain a rolling program of site audits and code tests ensuring we give our client sites the care and attention they deserve.

They will help to build new websites, plan new features and enhancements to sites we maintain and ensure we adhere to the terms of our client SLAs. They will work closely with the Technical Lead, Digital Project Manager and Junior Developers.
